今回の一連のサブプライム問題の報道についても、実はこの問題を語る上で絶対に避けて通れない専門家が少なくとも３人おります。もちろんアメリカ人ですが、結局日本から彼らの所に情報収集に来るのは我々のような業界人ばかりで、メディアの方は誰もこないらしく、「日本のメディアではサブプライムは問題になっていないの」、などといつもからかわれております。
つまり日本のメディアで報道されている内容は彼らに直接取材したアメリカの新聞やテレビの二番煎じであり、一時情報ではない、という点が実にさみしいですね。
「日経は来なかったけど人民日報は来たよ・・・」、
と言われたときには悪い冗談にしか聞こえませんでした、マジで。
